Easy methods to Decorate A Small Space With Holloween Themed Rugs And Other Items

Plenty of people enjoy decorating their homes for every occasion and one particular favorite just so happens to be Halloween. But what are you going to do if you have a smaller home like an apartment? Options for decorating are already limited enough and a small space can easily become cluttered when you try to add a handful of pieces of decoration. It takes just a few smart and useful choices to get through this dilemma though, and pretty soon you’ll be in the Halloween spirit answering the door for trick-or-treaters or even hosting your own Halloween theme party.

Buy your ninja costume and pirate costumes for your party. Do not forget to} get grownup maid costumes, disco costume.

Of course do not forget about the holiday costumes you can still wear for the children: easter bunny costumes and santa costumes.

Purchases that serve dual or useful purposes are the best ones. Since they take absolutely no extra space compared to the regular items they will be replacing, start with Halloween dishes and bath towels. You may have difficulty getting a Halloween version of a dish depending on the store so if this is the case, just get something in black or orange that you can arrange on the table. Keep in mind that it is best to pair them with table dressing that matches. Orange dishware on a black table cloth can be a simple touch toward bringing the Halloween spirit to your small space. Put up orange decorative lights as window dressing, similar to what you would usually find on Christmas, just something that comes in orange or an orange-yellow combination. More window dressing can be added by getting fake spider web which you could also hang in one or two corners of the room that you are redecorating. If your walls are not already painted in an orange hue, you can get Halloween-themed decals or wall stickers that can stick on your walls, or windows (decals only). Put the decals on front windows facing inward for everyone on the inside to enjoy them, particularly if you are not on ground level. If you live on the ground floor though, you can place them facing outward and make them easily visible to anyone passing by. You can complete the final touch with a simple welcome rug. From any department store you could ideally get holloween themed carpeting during the season, but if you have carpeting then a bath mat will probably have to do.

Bear in mind that things can quickly get cluttered when redecorating for a smaller space so just make sure that all the walls are in a similar hue to keep with the Halloween theme while redecorating just one or two of them. To avoid taking up too much floor space, avoid larger items while replacing what you are already using with Halloween-themed items. If you still prefer not to get things that are too “Halloween” then just try to infuse blacks and orange throughout your space.
